Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?

We accept HSA & FSA, however we do not work directly with insurance (exceptions: Auto Accidents & Medicare Part-B). If your insurance policy includes out-of-network chiropractic coverage then we can provide a Superbill (medical receipt) to submit for direct reimbursement.

As a cash practice, we are able to offer customized care and exclusive discounts to make care affordable for all.

I was in an accident, am I covered?

As long as you have an open auto case, with open and billable PIP, we can get you the care you need. All we need is your claim number, insurance, and attorney info to confirm that you have billable PIP.

Can I see a chiropractor if I’m pregnant?

Chiropractic care can be beneficial for pregnant women, especially for addressing musculoskeletal issues such as back pain, pelvic pain, and postural changes that can occur during pregnancy. Many pregnant women find that chiropractic adjustments improve their pregnancy experience and can even make delivery easier. We use gentle and safe techniques that are unique to each patient in order to alleviate discomfort and improve mobility throughout pregnancy.

Can my child receive chiropractic care?

Many parents are choosing to be proactive with their children's health, rather than reactive. Chiropractic is both proactive and preventive when it comes to wellness. Pediatric chiropractic care is safe, gentle, and helps a child thrive right from the start. We commonly help kiddos with: behavioral and emotional support, bed-wetting, allergies, digestive issues, sleep quality, immune support, and more.

Do you accept walk-ins?

For any new clients, we require an initial Discovery Exam prior to facilitating any adjustments. We can accept walk-ins if our schedule allows it, however this is a rare occurrence as we typically book out at least 1 week in advance. We recommend contacting our office to schedule your initial appointment.

What does the initial Discovery Exam include?

The Discovery Exam (45 mins) is a full functional exam designed to uncover the root cause of any symptoms you are experiencing. It includes an analysis of your posture, gait, and squat; range-of-motion and muscle strength testing; a 1:1 consultation about your health history and lifestyle behaviors; evaluation of nervous-system health, using the Insight scanning system, balance, and proprioception.

After the Discovery Exam, we will have you come back for a follow-up Report of Findings appointment (30 mins), where the Doctor will help you understand your current condition and have recommendations to best serve you moving forward.

How much does the initial visit cost?

The cost of the Discovery Exam and Doctor’s Report of Findings is $220, and adjustments are $70 each. Please do not let price be a deterrent, as we are willing to work with our clients to ensure they get the care they need.

How much does each following session cost?

Our pay-per-visit adjustment fee is $70. If you are a practice member with us, we offer complimentary visits within your initial care plan, bringing the price per adjustment closer to $60-65 each.

Further, we offer significant discounts for families, students, and wellness care.

I hear you are a Team Practice; what does that mean?

When beginning care with us, you will have one Primary Provider that is taking lead in managing your case- whether it be a Doctor you requested, were referred to, or were paired with. Your Primary Doctor will be responsible for managing your case and facilitating the majority of your adjustments and exams.

We always encourage our clients to work with multiple doctors (as long as they feel comfortable with it). As a Team Practice, our Doctors are familiar with every client's case and may decide to co-manage with another Doctor.

While the quality and approach of care is consistent across all Doctors, they each have their unique specialties and styles of adjusting. Being a Team Practice gives you access to the knowledge and expertise of 4 Doctors for the price of 1!

If at any point you determine that you resonate with a particular Doctor more than your Primary Provider, please do not hesitate to let us know and we will update who manages your case moving forward.

What is "Open Style" adjusting?

At our practice, you will notice that we have multiple tables beside each other in an open space, and the Doctors will flow between up to 3 clients at a time. This allows time for your nervous system to rest and integrate in between adjustments.

Further, we believe that “you don’t heal in isolation, you heal in community.” We’re all on our own healing journeys, however many of us deal with similar obstacles along the way. While resting on the tables, you may overhear a Doctor offering guidance to another client–  and although it may not be directed at you, it could still be helpful information for your personal journey.

What is the cracking/popping sound during an adjustment?

Not all adjustments create a “crack.” However, the audible sound commonly produced during traditional chiropractic adjustments is the release of gas (nitrogen and various other chemicals) from synovial joints; these chemicals release muscle tension, calm down the nervous system, decrease pain and boost adaptation of the body. This gas can be built up from poor biomechanics associated with vertebral subluxations.

What is a subluxation?

A subluxation is when one or more bones of the spine have increased tension or compression and cause interference to the communication of the nerve system and other structures. When the nerves are in an irritated state they can cause symptoms such as: pain, heat, swelling, tenderness, tingling, burning, and numbness. If you are experiencing these symptoms, you may be suffering from a very correctable subluxation.

Can a subluxation cause symptoms other than musculo-skeletal pain?

Yes! We see patients who have experienced relief from migraines, numbness, stomach issues, even multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s. In 1895, the first chiropractic patient was a deaf man who had his hearing restored from a chiropractic adjustment. The adjustor, DD Palmer, thought he had found the cure for deafness. However, as he began to adjust more and more deaf people, he quickly realized that he did not have the cure for deafness, but that his adjustments were having a tremendous effect on the nerve system. Every organ, muscle, and tissue in your body has nerve supply, and nerves originate from your spine! A healthy spine = a healthy nerve system.

I'm sick, should I reschedule my appointment?

We encourage everyone to use their best judgement and keep distance if you are feeling sick. We also know that many people feel better and their body is better able to adapt to a run down immune system if they are able to relieve stress and tension in their body. WE recommend that if you are feeling sick to give us a call so we can help you determine what is right for you.
